Hello, I am a USC married to a man from Scotland and we filed for AOS and EAD 3 months ago and we still have not gotten a receipt, we know that they have cashed our checks. How can we check on our case without a receipt number? By the way we filed at the Atlanta office. Thanks in advance for any info.

    Thanks
    Michelle

If you can get hold of the copy of the check you paid INS from your bank and in it is the case number, normally found at the upper left near the depositor's name.It happens always with some and normally this kind of asking your bank will help you a lot as there.Once you have the case number, just go online at the INS case tracking.Best of luck!

Thank you for your advice,we got the receipt yesterday in the mail. Now my question is that when it says 90 days for EAD appointment does that mean from the time they mail the receipt or from the date on the receipt?
        Thanks,
        michelle

90 days of INS receiving your paper as shown in your receipt.

            Good luck,
It's been 32 months since we've been waiting for the same thing as you and your husband are. Without counting the # of faxes sent to the service, without the infinite number of visits to inquire will our local processing center, and the numerous number of requests done by our local Congressman, it has been a joke.
It makes the IRS and the EPA as true angels compared to these people.
So, I wish you good luck and a lot of patience.
