Out of status

My wife to be has no record of entry which was over 5 years ago. We have a 3 year old child who is an american citizen.I too am an American citizen. Is there anything that can be done to to get her green card. Please help. WE dont know where to turn. One lawyer suggested we file for amnesty, but that would be laying her situation out in the open if she doesnot get her status changed.

You could have filed an I-130 under the 245(i) to help your wife and the mother of your child. There is no an amnesty available at this time. File an I-130 and write to your congressamn to bring back 245(i)
