I am a conditional permanent resident and was wondering If I should be paying taxes. I know that Japanese nationals do not have to for some period of time?

If you work, you pay taxes..s soon as you got your SS# and started working, you were responsible for paying taxes.

don't forget to file jointly with your spouse. you need all of the joint documents you can get for when you have to file the I-751 removal of your conditional status.
