  • Medical Professional Visa Screen

    Hi,

My mother recently went through the process of accepting a job with a Texan hospital, sitting the NCLEX examination (and passing) and was recently issued with a certificate ratifying her medical qualifications. This certificate decrees that she has accepted medical qualifications and that she is licensed to work in the United States as a Registered Nurse.

However, during the process of applying for the Visa and subsequent paperwork, my son was conceived and then born. She therefore shelved her immediate plans to move to Texas from the UK but has since decided that she would still like to move out to the US.

My question is this: does the license and visa screen paperwork she has obtained mean that she can apply for a position in the United States and at what point is she now at in attaining permission to live and work in the United States?

Any advise would be gratefully appreciated!

    Kindest regards,

    Callum
