The US Embassy at Kingston, Jamaica has announced that effective October 31, 2014, it will not accept interview applications from third country nationals for several visa categories.

They have identified the applicants who will NOT be entertained at their Embassy. Those who will not be considered for a visa issuance include:
  1. Applicants who changed status with Department of Homeland Security in the U.S. seeking a new visa in the new visa category.
  2. Applicants who entered the U.S. in one visa category and are seeking to re-enter the US in a different visa category.
  3. Applicants who have been out of status in the U.S. having violated the terms of their visas or having overstayed the validity indicated on their I-94s.
