Finally, after prolonged pressure from Europe, which has higher vaccination and lower death rates from Covid-19 than the US, the Biden administration has announced that, beginning in November, the US will lift the ban on travel to the US from Europe and some other other parts of the world that was originally put in place by the the Trump administration. The decision to lift the ban comes after a long period pf questioning by Europeans and others about whether the ban on travel to the U.S. made any sense from a health point of view, or whether it was motivated by political reasons instead. See: Washington Post, September 16:

As an example, The Post reports that The Times of London has accused the Biden administration of "political cowardice" in failing to lift the ban. What does this "political cowardice" consist of?
