Six months into President Biden's term in office, immigration advocates can only express disappointment at his failure to abolish many of the bigoted border policies of the Trump/Miller era. It is true that President Biden has moved quickly to cancel some of the most obvious landmarks of Trump's religious and racial hatred and human rights violations against nonwhite immigrants, such as the Muslim Ban, "Remain in Mexico" and the Border Wall. But too many of the Trump/Miller administration's bigoted policies remain in place.
