The Hill reports on May 13 that Donald Trump, in a phone call to Fox and Friends, made the following comment about his notorious Muslim immigration ban proposal, using his usual refined eloquence, as follows:

"Yeah, it was just a suggestion...Look, anything I say right now, I'm not the president. Everything you say is a suggestion, no matter what you say. It's a suggestion."

And, just in case anyone didn't get the point, Trump also said on May 11, with regard to the Muslim immigration ban:

"it hasn't been called for yet. Nobody's done it...This is just a suggestion until we find out what's going on."

Donald, how could you! Are you really going to let down all the Islamophobes whose votes helped you win the Republican nomination?

And what about your other immigration policy proposals: The Wall? The mass deportation "Task Force" with midnight raids on millions of Mexican and other Latino and Asian families?

And what about taking birthright citizenship away from millions of Latino, Asian, Middle Eastern and black children because of their parents' immigration status, or lack of same?

Are those promises going to turn out to be only "suggestions" too?

And are you going back on your pledge to abolish all those legal visas and green cards that you said were destroying American jobs- you know, the H-1B's and the Labor Certifications?

Was that also just a "suggestion"?

Say it ain't so Donald! We thought you were going to take back our country! Now it turns out that all the promises that you made to America's nativists and xenophobes to get them to vote for you in the primaries and give you the GOP nomination may have been only "suggestions".

Donald, maybe we hardly know ye.
