Rick Perry, who only recently was booed by a Republican audience for asking them to "have a heart" on immigration, has now gone to the other extreme and is campaigning with Maricopa County's Sheriff, Joe Arpaio. Perry has shown ample proof at the Republican debates that he can't talk, can't think and can't remember. He has only one thing left - he can hate. He has gone from the alligator-filled moat to the desert tents.

Is Sheriff Joe's endorsement going to help Perry? Look at the last candidate Sheriff Joe campaigned with - Sharron Angle.  Whenever a candidate has nothing else to offer the American people, he or she always turns to demagoguery against Latino and other brown-skinned immigrants as a desperate last resort. 

This reminds me of a Yiddish expression: "Es vet dir gornisht helfen!" - "It will get you nowhere." Someone should translate that into Spanish and tell the Texas governor.
