25000 H-1B Inspections

reports that USCIS is planning a massive expansion of onsite
inspections of companies hiring H-1B workers. "US immigration
officials are taking H-1B enforcement from the desk to the field
with a plan to conduct 25,000 on-site inspections of companies
hiring foreign workers over this fiscal year. The move marks a
nearly five-fold increase in inspections over last fiscal year,
when the agency conducted 5,191 site visits under a new site
inspection program."

(a) Privacy-Act Shortcomings Of 2008 Passport-Application Forms

Stephen Krueger writes "Historical wartime misuses of census
records portend contemporary wartime misuses of State Department
dossiers on applicants. Form DS-11 and Form DS-11 are dangerous,
not merely excessive, information-collection forms."

(b) Is There A Right To Work?

Gary North for the Foundation For Economic Education writes "A
free society needs much more than a right to work law. It needs a
comprehensive right of free contract: the worker's right, the
employer's right, and ultimately the consumer's right to accept

administration has been quietly implementing its new immigration
policy, one that cracks down on employers of undocumented workers

(a) Dear Editor:
Regarding Mr. Roberts' letter (11/18/09 ID): If ones had a magic
wand who can make 12-20 millions illegal immigrants disappear and
reappear back in their own respective home countries, then that
means 12-20 millions less consumers, tax payers (direct or
indirect), property renters, banks, restaurants, laundromats, day
cares and countless other businesses' consumers and customers.
Less business means loss of revenue in turn less jobs for
Americans. Restrictionists don't care and think about the economy
and humane consequences of mass removal of people just because
they want to make more room for others and think this will
provide better jobs and wage. Why not make this no birthright
citizenship and all draconian immigration laws to retroactively
enacted from at least 4 century from now and the real Native
Americans should politely ask to those whose ancestors didn't
come here and set their feet on the land from at least 1,000
years from today to go back to where ever their ancestors
"illegally" immigrated from. Wouldn't it be nicer and roomier if
America only has 20 millions real Native Americans and 280
millions others got to go back to Europe, Asia, Africa and
anywhere else. Another idea is giving all restrictionists a big
size of land then they can have it as their own most xenophobic
and isolated nation on earth because they're so afraid to get
into global trade and competition.
