The National Immigration Forum is reporting what the mainstream media seems to have missed so far - that immigration is not shaping up to be a winning issue in the 2008 presidential campaign. Most Republican voters - nearly 60% favor either a temporary legal status or complete legalization for unauthorized immigrants. And only 16% of GOP voters consider immigration there major issue anyway. And my previous posts on the power of the Hispanic vote this year certainly proved true in Florida where Hispanic Republicans overwhelmingly chose McCain.
