Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is promising immigration will be one of three major legislative priorities this year (the other two are health care reform and energy). It's not news that Senator Reid wants to push for reform this year, but it is the first time I've seen him be this specific on where immigration reform ranks on the priorities list.

Answer: They say that they are abroad because the pay is better than the US driven down by foreign competition. White nurses are paid better in the Middle East than African American or Asian American nurses. Asian American nurses are treated like dirt...I mean Asian American nurses. Here in Singapore white nurses are paid better because they work in exclusive clinics catering to the expat community. At the local levels there are few white nurses but paid according to qualifications..yes, US trained ones are paid better..but that is irrespective of skin color unlike the Middle East.
"Of all people, they should be the one who should know better being a foreign worker on another country themselves."
Answer: As I said they would all say that they are here because they are paid better!
Also, just happens that nurses who are white are treated and given better benefits and pay compared to nurses coming from Asia. This is specially true in the middle-east. Not sure of SG but would not be surprised if they also think white nurses are better than Asian nurses just because they were educated in the US."
Answer: Affirmative.
And these nurses in the US that are antis still think nurses coming from another country are receiving lower pay even though they get the same prevailing wage. They don't realize that their fellow US nurses working abroad are actually given better pay in the middle-east compared to nurses from Asia.""
Answer: Many have a sense of entitlement. We cannot count the so-called brain drain from South Africa of nurses accurately. Why? the so-called brain drain focuses only on black nurses leaving South Africa. The do-gooders in Britain make a commitment not to recruit in South Africa because the country "needs them". However, this only refers to black nurses and not white nurses. There are several Afrikaans speaking nurses who are regularly recruited in the UK. There are many here in Singapore..married to other nationalities and believe it or not even to rich Chinese Singaporeans...who stay at home tending to their children (I am saying believe it or not because twenty years ago these folks will not even touch a non-white skin). Those married to other white nationalities continue to work as nurses..some married to Brits are notorious..although many work in Asia and in the Middle East, they work for the British National Party which wants to deport all non-whites from the UK and I heard from some folks here that last friday and saturday these folks celebrated in bars after the BNP won two seats in the European parliament..now that is hypocrisy..folks working abroad in non-white countries but wanting to deport non-whites from their adopted country or the country of their birth!
Amazing...
