My brother (who himself is an immigrant) works as an analytical chemist at the faculty of medicine at Boston U. He has seen more and more instances of colleagues from abroad being ensnared in nightmarish bureaucratic screw ups in the last few years. At least three of those colleagues, upon coming back (at last) started to make arrangements to either return to their home country, or go working in another country than the US.
Two of those left the US last week. They also warned everyone they know that, if you want to work as a scientist and feel welcome to do so, doing so outside the USA is best.
Not the kind of reputation a country should wish for itself.
was rejected for F-1 visa coz of my low grades. at that time which is winter semester ofcourse i wasnt attendin any college
i mean i drop out from a local college and was accepted to a US one and got the I-20, anyways, i was told to do one semester in a local one then apply again and hopefully, ill be issued a visa. ill start a new semester soon.
I at least know of five cases where H1Bs whose visas were rejected were employed by the US corporation concerned in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia!
