... but they're not. It's hard to love a party that treats you like a scourge. The Dallas Morning News reports on a recent poll showing Texas Hispanics have more conservative views than the general population but will still vote Democratic because of the anti-Hispanic rhetoric coming from the GOP.

You mean anti-Hispanic or anti-immigrant rhetoric, right? Hispanics are the conservatives, anti-immigrant types are the pagan white skin worshppers!

I find it hard to reconcile the republican values when they talk about "compassionate conservatives" but turning around and be a part of the anti-immigrant camp that hates all immigrant things. We are using the Hispanics as an example and a large voting block but we could be talking about other ethnic minorities. I mean if you are a hispanic and see this conflicting values on this party you will either say they are hypocritical or flat out lie about what they stand for...Further if you have ever watch a republican convention and see how little diversity there is, besides some little pockets here and there Hispanics have to ask themselves is there really room for me there I am represented there in that room or stadium or even amongst their representatives in government. I think the answer to republicans and hispanics hanging out together is NO.

Depends on the type of Hispanics...if they look like the latest Ms. Costa Rica or Ms. Mexico, they will accept..because these two will look not much different from the GOP crowd. If not, they wont..why do you think Nikki Haley is accepted by the GOP, although she married white, being of Indian origin...?

She will feel right at home...however, no one is taking her seriously..in fact the pollsters are not even including her in their polls.
