The nation's association promoting international education is urging its members to push for the DREAM Act's passage - http://blog.nafsa.org/2010/12/01/the-dream-act-needs-our-voices-today .
"WOW George is this apolitical strategy you are suggesting... I am sure politicians re sure to stay away from anything with Sharia Law in it!!!"
Any person making sharia law an issues should be put on the spot to defend their anti-Christian Hispanic, anti-amnesty strategy to paint them as nothing more than white skin worshipping pagans masquerading as Christians. Schumer is pretty much anti-Islam pro-Israel and pro-amnesty senator. Why he does not frame this as a Judeo-Christian issue is way beyond me!
Here is my break down.
#####
1) Get kids over the border (lets assume parents are 30).
2) Wait for the DREAM Act to pass - 5-15 years.
>>> Legal immigrants (employment based) have been waiting in line for the past 10 years. They did nothing wrong. But yet are waiting.
3a) Get kids green cards - 10 years (per current version of the law).
>>>>>> Legal immigrants Will get green card and after 15 to 20 years and some cases even may go to 30 years as per USCIS's own calculations.
3b) Get kids citizenship - 3 years (per current version of the law).
>>>>> After green card Legal immigrants get citizenship after 5 years.
4a) Get kids to apply for parents - 1 year. Oops parents are inadmissible because they crossed the border illegally. They need to leave the country.
>>>>>>> Well they chose to come here illegally. I do know they came for work.
4b) 10 year admissibility bar strikes. 10 years.
>>> yeah this part is bad. I agree here.
5) Parents come back to the US with green cards - 1 year.
>>>> they would still be better off then Legal immigrants.
