Washington Post columnist Edward Schumacher-Matos compares the vote to the Chinese Exclusion Act, the Indian Removal Act, the Fugitive Slave Law and other acts of Congress that reflect hate-filled periods in American history. And just like in those days, today's antis will insist racism has nothing to do with it (even though it has everything to do with it).

Exactly that was my point!!! I agree with being opportunistic we all want to do better in life and that is why people are trying to go thru the hell of the Immigration process.

The Republicans were able to compromise any many of the initiatives that the Dems put forth in the lame duck session: DADT, START, tax cuts, and it looks like even the 9/11 bill. Everything EXCEPT the DREAM Act. That says a lot.

And any legalization for GOP is a non starter , Lets hope there wont be any Steve King ideas get a vote in the Senate or get vetoed by Mr. O for next two years.
