Montana Democrat Jon Tester voted against the DREAM Act last Saturday. While he was not alone, he did manage to upset one person who actually mattered a lot to Tester's being elected - Markos Moulitsas at the Daily Kos, one of the web's most popular blogs. Moulitsas is extremely influential with young liberals and he was able to raise a significant amount of dollars for the Tester campaign in 2006. Perhaps Tester thought there would be no consequences to voting no on DREAM, but Kos is furious and I wouldn't be surprised if he uses the site to promote a primary opponent for Tester.

On the other end, you must have a system that which should not encourage illegal immigration and the 1996 law is not the right answer.
The point is that, and i am sure of what i say, it is pretty easy to fix it, but it is political appealing for both party to have this status quo, but the face of the young kids on saturday, their tears, theirs desperation was something differents.Bottom line, Guttierez and America Voice is the only reason of why we don`t have a CIR
That's the key part, you can try to negotiate here with each other all the time on what is "fair" or not, but it only matters what the decision makers do!!!period. The only way to change these is help elect people that will have influence and power to change the system. The business community will advocate for legal immigration changes if they need the workers and Latino advocacy groups will continue to push for the undocumented. What is still a mystery is why these two groups never join forces....ohh I remember...because "it's not fair"!!! Hope the whining changes things some day....
With Durbins and Schumers using H1Bs for paying for border security to 9/11 damages , Good luck with businesses lobbying for more liberal voters( with amnesty).
