Following Attorney General Holder's decision Wednesday to vacate a BIA decision ordering the removal of an Irish national in a New Jersey civil union, the couple in the case I mentioned a couple of months back received the good news that the judge has suspended the deportation process in response to AG Holder's decision.

Any predictions about the Obama speech today in Texas? It is being said that he will outline the blueprint for CIR. Should we laugh or take a back seat and think that he is really serious. Or is it another way of saying the same old thing.."We are deeply committed..we should all work together..blah blah"; but at the end nothing.

Obama is just using this speech to draw out the republicans into a debate he knows they can't win, specially in their primary season. He is going to plant the Immigration debate right in the middle of their primary and watch the fireworks from a distance, republicans will further erode any chance they have to ever getting the Latino vote other than the Cuban vote in south FL. They will have to feed the lions on the far right with more divisive anti-immigrant rhetoric. If anything Obama will ensure that if Latinos do not support him they at least won't vote republican and he also let's them know that there is no alternative but him for immigration.....
