Thanks to readers JoeF and GG for their earlier posts on this. From JoeF:
After the raid on diploma mill Tri-Valley University in California back in January, today the University of Northern Virginia (UNVA) diploma mill was raided by ICE: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43935088 UNVA was prominently featured in March in a very-well-researched article in the "Chronicle of Higher Education" on fake universities: http://chronicle.com/article/Little-Known-Colleges-Exploit/126822/
It was clear that sooner or later, these diploma mills would get raided. In anticipation, I had created Google alerts...
On rediff.com, one guy was quoted who, after having attended Tri-Valley, went to UNVA after TVU was shut down. From the frying pan into the fire... I'll never understand why anybody would do that.
Anyway, it seems that Senator Grassley has predictably called for making OPT stricter. That's really what bothers me. That's why I have been warning people about these diploma mills. The legitimate students end up suffering.
