California continues to defy the anti-immigrant trends taking hold in legislatures in the South. Following up on passage of the California DREAM Act, the state has just banned counties and municipalities from mandating E-Verify participation by employers. A number of towns in politically conservative parts of the state have been passing such ordinances over the past few years. The bill was signed by Democratic Governor Jerry Brown and supported by the California Chamber of Commerce as well as the California Farm Bureau Federation.

If they are here 6 months in a year they would be taxed on their worldwide income. Remember, these will be wealthy people with sources of income overseas, the USA will get to tax that income. Again, being wealthy people thay would spend significant amounts of money into the economy. They will also being Sales & Real Estate Taxes.
The fact that it is attracting Can support means that it has a decent chance of clearing the Senate. The Nevada & Florida housing market have been hard hit. Those Senators will likely be on-board, that is 3 more Can votes.

I do not disagree that is a positive step however is being sold as a solution for housing not sure how much as most of these individuals would be investors. Given that these are mostly wealthy individuals they probably already have a visa. But all and all good news all I am saying is that is not what they are selling out to be....
