Oops! Our bad. From CNN:
A Dallas teenager who ran away from home more than a year ago somehow wound up deported to Colombia after U.S. authorities mistook the girl, who lacked identification, for a Colombian national.
Now her family is demanding to know why immigration authorities deported the teen -- a U.S. citizen with no knowledge of Spanish -- and why they simply took her at her word when she gave them a fake name.
ICE is investigating, but this is not exactly an isolated incident. There have been numerous other examples of citizen kids and mentally disabled adults who end up deported.
I can safely assume that you do not have kids or you do not sympathize with them.
The story provided by ICE does not add up. First they do not find any record of this 14 year old girl but her name perfectly matches with a 22yr old hispanic woman wanted by interpol (one who has committed crime in several countries). Somehow this 15yr girl (who looks and talks black) is turned into 22yr old hispanic criminal.
Then she is given an expedited passport (mind well, without any verification) by consulate in Houston, to land in Columbia and she is placed in welcome home program (where she is partying with adult men and is now pregnant). All this while she is he wanted by interpol for committing crimes in several countries?
