Wired Magazine's David Kravets raises some serious questions tied to the new E-Verify biometric requirements in the proposed immigration legislation. How serious of a threat to Americans' liberties does it pose? Talk amongst yourselves.

Mr. Siskind, with all due respect but you should first define what are the so-called Americans' liberties.
It is amazing how uneducated people can be in this country when the subject of the Constitution is discussed. Average Americans tend to believe the law of the land is just the Bill of Rights. Additionally the US Constitution itself is a vague document that always has been subject to different interpretations by the courts according to the circumstances of the time. Here are a couple of examples:
Article I, Section 2 (first paragraph):
"Representatives and direct taxes shall be apportioned among the several states which may be included within this union, according to their respective numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole number of free persons, including those bound to service for a term of years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons."
Who are the Indians not taxed...perhaps people who came from the Indian Subcontinent?
"three fifths of all other Persons" is the most despicable and execrable sentence that this document can present by labeling Americans who can trace their heritage to the slave trade (educate yourselves about the Three Fifths Compromise).
Second Amendment
"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
For those gun advocates, define please what is "a well regulated militia"
Summarizing, all the ongoing nonsense regarding the reality show called Comprehensive Immigration Reform could have easily been avoided long time ago if President Obama decided to issue an Executive Order putting an end to this parody; besides that, people in this country should stop venerating the US Constitution as some sort of marvelous document when the reality says the opposite...ignorance is indeed the mother of all social diseases.
