Comment: Immigration in Omnibus
The House published the text of the Omnibus early today. It contains the "EB5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022" which radically transforms the EB5 program. See the text of the Act below and read two analyses of this important legislation by authors Robert Divine and Steve Yale-Loehr in separate articles below. Special kudos to AIIA which was instrumental for championing and including the "Grandfathering" provision in Section 108 of the Omnibus that protects past and future EB5 investors in case of any future lapses in RC program. The Omnibus also contains H2B provisions including a significant number of H2B visas for the seafood industry. It also includes the customary extensions of E-Verify, Religious Worker visas and Physician Waivers till September 30, 2022. Each of the above matters is covered in items below with the original legislative text.
