Thread: Real Immigration news...for once!

  1. #1
I know it goes against the grain of the sideshows (freakshows?) that go on in here often but for once some real immigration news and it's not good for illegal (and possibly legal) immigrants in AZ:

Arizona passes strict illegal immigration act

The bill directs police to determine the immigration status of noncriminals if there is a 'reasonable suspicion' they are undocumented. Immigrant rights groups say it amounts to a police state.

Arizona lawmakers on Tuesday approved what foes and supporters agree is the toughest measure in the country against illegal immigrants, directing local police to determine whether people are in the country legally.

You have to wonder how many USC/LPRs might get caught as well, ie. ones who look latino and speak with an accent. ACLU lawsuits coming. A dumb Bill that will likely get struck down as unconstitutional. Obviously done by politicians trying to get re-elected.

The bill seems to be a part of an ongoing Joe Arpaio vs DOJ struggle.

A great idea! I totally support this decision.

Mr S12 supports it. What a surprise. Wait till he realizes that he'll need to show a US passport or some other means to prove he's a USC to a cop if he travels within AZ now. It's UNCONSTITUTIONAL. When it gets challenged in the courts it'll last about 5 seconds. About the same time it'll take an AZ cop to nick S12 for looking illegal LOL

Morons, the Supreme Court ruled some time ago that State and local law enforcement agencies have an inherent right to enforce federal immigration laws and there is nothing in the Constitution that prohibits States from passing laws that mirror federal law. Face it, we are clamping down on the illegals. Better run now before you spend some hard time in jail.

What AZ has done is effectively have local cops being Immigration Officers. It'll be struck down when challenged because it's unconstitutional. Federal Law trumps State Law. Time and again these kind of local laws have been struck down. Immigration is a Federal matter so go figure.

You Repub Tea Partiers moan and complain about Big Government...well here's a law which really IS Big Government and you support it??? Would you prefer a Police State?

What a bunch of soft hearted sissies!

What will Mexican illegal alien (en mass) care about being put in jail in AZ?
Charge them with 50 felonies, deport them 50 times yet they will show up at your bakcyard next morning after being unloaded accross Rio Grande.

The softy-nerdy PHD earning girlies who actually dream up these policies know nothing of either real illegal psyche nor the forces at work that necessiated such migrationary waves in the first place.

Now if only there were some strong willed and strong hearted men like John Wayne who could , using modern technology, drop from 11000 ft airbusloads of illegals (and have CNN show it live on prime-time), now that would definitely help!

What they need is twenty thousands of illgeals thrown off the cargo airbus in front of multi-billion TV viewers! That's what would really help and quickly motivate the rest 20 millions to run off for their lives.

But, alas, you are such a sissies, so full of fainthearted girliness, you can never master enough courage and willpower to do what it takes to achieve the goal.

Barbeque 40000 illegals in a gas stove, throw another 50000 off the cargo airplanes and let's see how will the rest dare to remain!

What a bunch of sissy girlies...
