    I have a H1(b) Visa.
I've just resigned and I want to know what the law says about for how long can I stay in the country.

    Thanks.

There is NO GRACE period after H-1B employment is terminated, if that what you are asking. You have to file for HI-B transfer to another employer (possible premium processing) immediately, or leave the country. Hope it helps. Good Luck.
