Thread: Photo ID

I think that my boyfriend came here with a visa and overstayed. All he has right now is his birth certificate from Mexico and his social security number stating that he is not allowed to work in the US. He can't get a driver's license or ID card because he doesn't have his passport (it's expired anyway). Is there any way that he can get a photo ID somewhere that is acceptable at most places? If he tries to get an Adjustment of Status, would this be enough ID to give to INS? We live in Georgia by the way. Thanks.

First of all he should renew his Passport. If you are USC and are serious with him then you can get married to him and then can sponsor him and he will be able to file AOS and EAD.
    Good luck.
