Thread: I-i30 for the unmarried child of the USA citizan

    Dear Sir/ Madam,

Please advise me on the following. I am a Russian woman married to the US citizen. I have been married to the US citizen for 7 months. My permanent residence status documents are processed by the INS, and like I was told by the INS officers I will be invited to the interview in May and be given a permanent resident status. I have a daughter of 12 years who still is staying in Russia. My husband (American citizen) filed the Alien Relative Petition (I 130) for my daughter; it was received by the Vermont Service center on March 07, 2003. In the Notice of Action it was written that to process this type of case it would take between 150 to 999 days. Please advise me if there is any way to expedite the case or is there any opportunity for my daughter to come to the USA in frame of a non-immigrant visa and adjust her status being here. Currently my daughter is staying with my mother in Russia and my mother is in a very poor health and she can no longer take care of my child. My daughter's farther was deprived of his parental rights

I truly am sorry you separated from your daughter and to hear about your mother's illness.

Honestly, I really don't know how to answer this, so I will bump it up because I have noticed Umesh Passi is on the board. He is a very honorable and educated man and I know he will be able to help you in some way.

I will pray for you and your daughter in hopes you will be together soon and that your mother will turn for the better.

Good Luck and God Bless You and Your Loved Ones!

    To Larissa:
I had already posted reply on your other post and I am pasting the same here, in case that has escaped your attention.
"As your USC husband has filed I-130 for your daughter, she is not eligible for Tourist Visa. As a step child of your husband, your daughter falls under Immediate Relative category for which there is no cap of issuing visas. Receipt Notice you received is a generalized letter but her I-130 should be processed in about 4 - 6 months and she should be here within a year.
    Good luck."

    To One Heart:

Thanks for bumping this thread, it looks like Larissa did not check the board earlier. You are really a great asset to this board.

God bless you and your family always.

Oops! Thank you! I really do appreciate that very much and by the way, if anyone is a great asset to this board, it is you, my friend.

Thank you so much on my behalf for all of your dedication, compassion, and time that you have put into this board.

You truly are an honorable man and you have all of my respect. Keep up the great work!

God Bless You, Umesh and your loved ones!

    Hi, "One heart".
Just want to let you know that your screenname sounds beautiful, but SAD.
When you look at it you don't think"everyone has one heart", you just think"the person is lonely, she's alone, one heart, only".....
I just felt like writing you this now.
It's not against u or anything,
You don't have to change it or anything.
I just wrote down my thoughts.
    Good night!

Don't worry, I won't. But thanks for your thoughts anyway.

Just a thought, have you ever heard of the saying, "two hearts that beat as one?" If not, you might try looking at things, such as my ID, in a more positive way because this is how I feel.....my heart beats and feels as one with the people on this board.

    God Bless and Take Care!
