To the best of my basic knowledge, Gadafi has been considered as one of the US allies and he has demonstrated his wiliness to support and recognize US interest in the middle east and the part of Africa where he is located. I will be thinking its too soon before US will flip the coin on him, you still have some time to **** his money then u might consider the option of getting him back to the ACCESS OF EVIL LIST AND WHO KNOWS, maybe u will invade Libya and hang his neck on his enemies thread just as you did to Sadam Hussien and guess wut my friend, this is all for the sake of fighting and killing terrorism because it doesn’t matter whether you are on God’s side or God is on yours, u are American so even if you kill, you are innocent with no cause'

David, the unfairness in the immigration system is legendary and it got worse after 9/11. Unfortunately, there's nothing we lay people can do it and those in power will never be able to address it fully since immigration reform is synonymous with amnesty.

Gadhafi is the Libyan head of state, and is visiting the United Nations in New York City in that capacity.

As host to the United Nations' headquarters building, the United States has agreed that those with official U.N. business be admitted for that purpose.

While in the United States, Gadhafi's movements are likely to be restricted to the immediate area of the United Nations' building...or at most, N.Y.C. The same applies for other undesirables, such as the leader of Iran.

...as for the difficulty in getting your fiance to the United States. It's my understanding that the difficulty relates to some legal issues that she had previously, involving illegal narcotics/drug dealers or something. She was deported from the United States, so stop playing it like some innocent *** story...which it isn't.

SunDevil - my friend - NOT!!

What are laws for? Tell me quickly...before I forget what laws are for and what they have been established for.

INS/USCIS does not and should not ever have the Right to condem someone 'till the end of their days. That Right is a God given right and left only to God.

This guy gave a hero's welcome to the Lockerbie bomber recently released from Scotland. If that isn't supporting terrorism, I don't know what is. Pathetic and the US shouldn't have let him set foot on our soil!!!!!!

Good! I hope the officials make them take it down! New Jersey didn't want him, so why should New York?

Qaddafi Pitches Tent on Trump Estate; N.Y. Town Orders Stop

    Wednesday, September 23, 2009

Sept. 22: A tent for Libyan leader Qaddafi is seen pitched on an estate in Westchester County, N.Y.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — The Libyan government has pitched a tent in suburban New York that leader Muammar Qaddafi may use for entertaining, according to a State Department official.

And it appears the property was rented from Donald Trump.

However, an attorney for the town of Bedford, around 43 miles north of Manhattan, said the town ordered work to be stopped at the site late Tuesday.

"We believe the erection of a tent on the ... property violates several codes and laws of the town of Bedford," Attorney Joel Sachs said.

Sachs said officials found workers constructing the tent but could not communicate with them because they didn't speak English. He said they gave the order to stop the work to the property's caretaker.

"There is no such thing as diplomatic immunity when it comes to complying with local laws and ordinances," Sachs said. "This is a private piece of property and they have to comply with the laws of this municipality."

Town officials will return to the site Wednesday to make sure the Libyans are complying with the order, Sachs said.

The State Department official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of diplomatic sensitivity and protocol concerns, said the property was obtained for the duration of this week's United Nations General Assembly. The official said no one would be staying there overnight.

Meanwhile, Ghadafi's motorcade arrived at the Libyan Mission to the United Nations in Manhattan, just blocks from U.N. headquarters Tuesday evening. Dozens of police and Secret Service officers blocked off the venue.

Several dozen pro-Qaddafi demonstrators rallied near the office building housing the mission, carrying his portraits and chanting pro-Libyan slogans.

No-parking signs were going up near Trump's Seven Springs estate in Bedford, where residents include Martha Stewart and Ralph Lauren. TV helicopters showed a tent on the Trump property. Police would not comment, and Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan would say only that the agency does not discuss the schedules or logistics of people it's protecting.

As word got out, local officials quickly objected to Qaddafi's anticipated presence. Qaddafi will likely face protests over Scotland's recent release of Libyan Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, who was convicted of the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 which killed 270 people.

The Trump Organization said Qaddafi would not be coming to Trump's estate and insisted that Trump has not rented property to him. But it said part of the estate "was leased on a short-term basis to Middle Eastern partners, who may or may not have a relationship to Mr. Qaddafi. We are looking into the matter."

Qaddafi had wanted to pitch a tent at Libya's five-acre estate in Englewood, N.J., and live and entertain there during the UN assembly. But local opposition turned him away.

Later, the Libyan government asked to use Manhattan's Central Park for a tent, but the request was denied.

U.S. Rep. Nita Lowey said Qaddafi had shown a lack of remorse for the bombing and was "unwelcome throughout the New York area."

That nut case KILLED American people, bombed our solders, blew up airplanes..

Yet, he can come to the USA for "Diplomatic Reasons" OH, i guess his "10 year ban" is up.

and yea, my girlfriend was pled guilty of a drug charge. However, it was not a violent crime, a *** crime..

We let murders out on the street to go to the PUBLIC FAIR, we let Libyan leader Gadhafi pitch a tent like he owns the place. What a JOKE !!

Pitching a stupid tent means that he "owns the place?" I think that you need to calm down and get some perspective.

Gadhafi is a terrible person, there is no question of that...and, under normal circumstances, he would be barred from the United States. However, under diplomatic rules and agreements, the United States is obligated to allow entry to heads of state wishing to go to the United Nations' headquarters.

You can be assured that Gadhafi is being very closely monitored...and will be gone within a day or two.

Your girlfriend, on the other hand, is requesting to be allowed to immigrate permanently to the United States...after having been deported for drug offenses to which she pleaded guilty. And exactly why should America let her in????
