Thread: NVC Case number question. Please help

  1. #1
    Hey Guys,
I have a questions I need answer for. The NVC looked at my file and gave me a BMB number for the Embassy in Mumbai. And just in genreal I was looking at the Interview dates on the New-Delhi website becuase originaly even if my fiance was in the state of Gujarat which is part of the Embassy of Mumbai but I did not know about this until about 4 months down the road. But my question is that the 11 digit number for my fiance file is showing up at the New-Delhi interview site but the case number given from the NVC is a BMB number based on the state my fiance is in which is Gujarat. The NVC people told me they open my file and look at where it is to go and based on the state where my Fiance lives is where the file is to go. But basicly what I am trying to say is that the Embassy in Mumbai does not have the BMB with the 11 digit number on there interview website but the New-Delhi Embassy website has the 11 Digit number but displayed has NWD on the from instead of BMB with the same 11 digit numbe. So I am trying to find out can the NVC give the same case number but have a difference first three letter like BMB and NWD. I need to know this ASASP. Also the NWD with the same case numbers on the New-Delhi site say K1 which is also what my fiance fileing status. Someone please help me.
    Thanks,
    Vpatel

BMB stands for Bombay. NWD stands for New Delhi. Its possible that someone in Delhi has the same number, but why dont you have her call Delhi to find out? Since she is in India she is the one best able to find this out
