Thread: Question Regarding Service Center. PLEASE HELP!

I am a USC living in connecticut. I got married to my long time lover and friend, who is from the Caribbean, in September of last year.

We got the services of a Lawyer to file all our documents with the INS, first the I130, and then the I129F petition. We paid him, and we shook hands. We got a reciept from INS recently stating that they have recieved our I129F Petition, along with a Reciept Number. The rciept number has as its 3 digits "MSC-", which indicates to me that the Petition was sent to the Misouri Service Center by the Lawyer guy who submitted it for us.

I read somewhere where all I129F petitions are processed at the Misouri Service Center, and not the Vermont Service Center (I reside in Connecticut). Is this the case? I ask because I went to the web iste of the Vermont Service Center and saw where they are currently processing I129F Petitions receipted on or before Dec-16-2002. I thought they didnt process I129F. Can Someone clarify?

You're I-130 nd I-129F should have been sent to Vermont. Missouri is not where all I-129F's are process, rather they and other petitions are processed at your regional INS service center which for you would be VT.

Speak to your Atty! He has made an ignorant and greivous mistake.
