I got arrested for petty theft in Nov 2000 after I filed my N-400. During my interview in June 2001, my INS officer advised me to withdraw my application and to reapply when my one-year probation is over. My record was finally expunged after one-year probabion. My question is: How long should I wait before re-apply? I read somewhere that it must be 5 years!
