Thread: Nursing & Green Cards AA or BA degree? Help!!

    Can someone with an AA degree in Nursing along with their RN license be hired by a healthcare facility and sponsored for a green card?? Or is a BS degree mandatory?? Please help!

    It doesn't matter if you have AA or BA as long as you have the RN title.I know a foreign nurse who doesn't have a BSN she was able to get her GC and currently working in the US.If you are abroad you need to pass your CGFNS, TOEFL , TSE ???? ( not sure, test for spoken english). I think if you pass all of these you will get your GC from the consulate. The most important thing is to pass the NCLEX here.If you fail you'll be working as nursing assistant weather you have nursing diploma or BSN.
