Thread: Record with INS

After the INS denied my I-485 application, can I withdraw my petition or case?
If so, when I withdraw my application, do the INS keep record or information of the withdrawn application on their system. Does my old denied file effect any application I submit in the future.

Sure the INS keeps the record in their computer base. Any denial will be used as a basis when you apply again. What were you denied for??

    Hey Hugo:
Why is your LIFE/LULAC/CSS case denied??? Which class are you exactly, LULAC or CSS or just the LIFE ACT???

    What's the reason???

    Please share your experience

My case CSS/Life Legalization, I filled I-485 with the INS, they denied my case because in their opinion I don't have enough strong evidence like Tax paper, even though I had other strong evidence since 1981. I told them I don't have a tax paper in the 80's because I was working illegally and the people I was working for pay me in cash. So after living in the U.S for more than 22 years, I'm still in Limbo. How about you are you still in limbo? What is the status of your case?

    Hi Hugo:

So sorry to hear about your case. I am LULAC with legalization questionaire approved. Therefore I file I-687 with Texas office.

Did you call the Center for Human Rights about your case denial??? If not do so quickly, they can probably help you. If you do not have the number, go to: www.centerforhumanrights.org and look it up.

Also, did you have previous employers' affidivits that you were paid in cash??? Or some other people who can proof you were here and worked???

    Please call the CENTER.

. My legalization questionnaire has been approved after so long by VSC, and I have been instructed to file I-687.
I have one concern. Although I came here in 1980, I left in 1982 and lived in one country in Europe for 14 months before returning to the United States with a visa. I reported this in my biographical information form to the INS in my other pending applications.
What can I do about it? Any ideas?
