Did anyone get I485 approval from Nebraska Service center recently?? I believe, on the web site it is showing 8/1/2001 for last 3 to 4 months, means they haven't processed any case for last couple of months... Is it true?
How is the idea of applying for Counslar processing from India as it is much faster? I have applied for AOS 6 months ago.
    Please suggest!!!
    Please respond!!!

Sometimes there is a backlog of cases, although Service Center had posted the date of processing, but they had backlog which delays everything. Sometimes, in those cases which were received at Service Center prior to yours, they had sent letters for further information and those are received back with information. They are to be disposed of first, which causes little delay for other cases.
Unless, petition is approved from here, you can not get interview in India. In case, you intend to get Immigrant Visa from India then it will take around 4 - 6 months, more than AOS in U.S.A.
    Good luck.

when I called the immigration I was told that those lists(telling you what date they are up to) are incorrect.
For ex., when I asked: "why didn't I get an answer by now, on the list it shows that my date was already processed.?The answer I received was"what list, on our site(ins". ? I said now(bla, bla)and of course she said that it's not what dates they are up to.
So since then, I don't trust those lists anymore
