H1B Transfer Based On Approved I-140

I've an approved i-140, under the EB2 category. In my case, it was approved four months ago and I got my visa extended and stamped based on that. Questions:

    1) Do i need to work for the company that did my i-140 for at least six months to lock in my priority date?
    2) Can I transfer to as many companies as I want given that my stamped visa's good for 3 more years?
    3) Does the company I transfer to have to refile my green card even though my priority date won't become current for six years or so?
    4) If I do decide to leave the country for a year, is there a way for me to upgrade to EB1 category by working for a US company outside the country or something?

Just want to understand how things work when the initial 6 year visa is all used up.

    Thanks in advance.

If the I-140 is your employer sponsored, your job change may let your approved I-140 invalid if the employer notice the USCIS for your job change, and you have to start the process again.

Also, for H-1B visa over 6-tyear limit, you need a approved I-140. see
