Thread: Employment Based Visa

As I was checking the status of my I485 case online it says :

On June 17, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.

How long should I wait? What is the next step?

Fingerprints were done in Manchester but I believe I485 was filed in Boston, MA

    Thank You.

Pre-9/11, it used to take anywhere between 90 to 120 days for the fingerprints to clear the security and criminal checks; now, there's no sure way of forecasting how long it will take, because many of the new checks are secret and, depending on your name or pure "luck", more detailed checks may be done in your case.

So, what should I expect next?
My brother in law is in the same process but haven't received a notice for fingerprinting yet. Does it means that it might take longer for him to be approved?
