Thread: How do I send a letter to the IJ to ask dismissal of removal proceedings?

Lightbulb How do I send a letter to the IJ to ask dismissal of removal proceedings?

I was admitted to the US in 2002; in 2008 I committed a CIMT. I want to ask the IJ to dismiss the removal proceedings based on the 5 year esception. Do I send this letter to the court or to another place? Does the letter have to be certified? I have no idea if I must send a copy of the letter to the government representative. Any ideas? Please and thanks.

Use a certified letter just to assure delivery. No copy to the government is necessary, but would be appreciated.
