Thread: Lost Green Card and Passport

    I need advise for the lost Green Card and Passport. My family moved here on immigeration during September 2009. My daughter left from here after getting Green card to India to appear for BS Final Semester Exam. Now her exam and vavia is done. Recently she noticed that her green card and Passport are lost some where.

    What is the procedures to complete the formalities. The incident was registered withe the police department in India.

    She sould visit nearest US Consulate of Embassy and request travel documents. She should have evience that she is LPR. She should take her ticket stubs of boarding card when visiting US Consulate or Embassy.

    What you will apply for is a Boarding Letter from the AmEmb/AmCon addressed to the airline allowing you to board without a passport or Form I-551. You will need an Indian passport for this.

    You said that you moved from India during Sept. 2009.
    Where your Immigration visa was issued from............?
    Contact that Consulate or Embassy, They do have all the papers and can verify her...
