Editor’s Note: The article we carry below was sent to us unsolicited. This article concerns a matter of bar governance and the upcoming AILA elections. Immigration Daily has, as a newspaper serving the immigration bar for 12+ years of continuous daily publication, carried matters of bar governance, consistent with the practice for professional newspapers in the US. Immigration Daily has not, as of this writing, arrived at a position on the dispute outlined below. We may never arrive at a position, and even if we do, it may or may not comport with the position of either or both of the parties. Regardless of this fact, Immigration Daily is committed to fairly covering important matters before the bar. Any immigration attorney, especially those directly involved in the dispute, should rest assured that Immigration Daily will carry their viewpoint even if we are opposed to it (and especially if we are opposed to it). We invite those with opposing viewpoints to submit their articles or letters to us for publication.

Here is a copy of the lawsuit letter which was sent yesterday to Mr. George Constantine, AILA’s outside counsel, as well as to Mr. David Leopold, AILA’s General Counsel.
