"Nominations for the prize had to be postmarked by February 1 -- only 12 days after Obama took office. The committee sent out its solicitation for nominations last September -- two months before Obama was elected president".

My question is what did he do in those 12 days to deserve this recognition???

Another affirmative action award. A welfare Nobel Prize.

    Exactly.

Right. So Afghanistan and Iraq shouldn't have happened. What's that got to do with Obama winning a Nobel Peace Prize? And not just winning, but winning over people who actually have tangible things to show for their years of hard work rather than just promises and plans. People who've actually made a real difference in the world. Like the guy who has built 130 schools for girls in remote areas of Aghanistan and Pakistan commonly ruled by opium dealers and warlords. Obama didn't deserve this. So far, he's done squat.

"This award is not simply about my administration," he said. It "must be shared" with everyone who strives for "justice and dignity."

"The Nobel recipient receives a prize of about $1.4 million."

Hmmmmmm, wonder if he's going to share the prize too?
