How do I validate my degree from home country in USA?

Hi. This is my first post and i hope i can get some help. I am a Brazilian citizen and i graduated in Nutrition in Brazil. I've been told that United States is in need of this kind of professionals and it would be easier to get a residence license to work in this field. Is it true? How do i do to validate my diploma in US? Thanks
