Thread: 2b preference has an annulment, still am i in 2b preference

  1. #1
    hi everybody,

right now i am in 2b(unmarried child of permanent resident) preference. recently i got married and then i have an annulment within 15 days of my marriage. my I-130 is still pending and hopefully will be approved by within 2-3 months. so my questions are---
    1)am i still under 2b preference
2)do i need to inform ins or visa center that i have been married and then i had an annulment.
3)if i can show proper reasons of my annulment then i heard that it's possible to retain my old piorities date , is it true? plz explain

i think these are bothering me a lot since i allready waited 5 years for my permanent residency and if this annulment is not accepted then i might need to wait another 5-7 years.hopefully it won't turn down my luck.
