What happend to letting SOM do it LOL...

Yes we do need the Death penalty but it should be met with the crim no electric chair or needle. Shot we could save a tone of money if they just bring in a bunch of good rope and hange the idiots, Rope is resusable and very cost affecient. And down here in the south we have plenty of good oak trees we can do 100 at a time

I say kill them all and let God sort them out.

The simple solutions are always the best ones.

I think one was scheduled for execution in our state today. Haven't caught up on whether it was carried out, but my email was barraged by sympathetic pansies asking for a reprieve! A reprieve for killing a cop? No thank you. God rest his soul, but I have no sympathy at all for cop killers.

Unless it is mass murdering - I am against it.

Yes, but with exceptions. Defendant must be adequately represented, especially if appointed by the court. No for anyone under 18, even though they could be tried as an adult. No for mentally challenged individuals. No for crimes with only circumstantial evidence. And jury must have three options: death penalty, life without parole, or life (I think some states only allow two, death or life). And finally, jury rules need to be revamped big time.

I oppose the death penalty in principal - you can't bring somebody back who was later found to be not guilty. You'd be surprised how often people get convicted on just unreliable eyewitness ID or false confessions:

    Innocence Project

I'd also add to Hudson's list to limit news coverage in death penalty cases. Certainly no cameras in the court house. The likes of Nancy Grace and Fox News will say he/she is guilty looong before any evidence is heard! Trying to get unbiased jurors is hard enough.
