  1. #1
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me, about how long does it take to get the official Green Card once you have been for your interview and had your passport stamped.
Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank

    Hi,

I received my official Green Card in the mail today.
The wait was 12 days after I got my passport stamped.

    Hi guys!
I've been reading posts after posts of happy people saying that they got their GC just a few days after their interview. The only explanation I can figure out for that is:You're really lucky people.
I had my interview 6 months ago, but although everything went just fine, I didn't get a stamp on my passport(just because the **** medical exams were not ready by then).
I already inquired about my case, both in person and in a written form. The only explanation they gave is that my case is still pending(for whatever reasons, rather than medical exams, which they received 3 days after the interview).
The officer who interviewed us was confident that whithin 3-4 months I would be receiving my GC through mail, which didn't happen.
As I took her word for granted, I didn't bother renewing my EAD(which expires in July/04).
Now I'm concerned about the time for my GC to be approved. It may take another 2 or 6 months. Who knows???
Maybe I should try the lotto!!!!

    Hi there,
You shall get your card as soon as your passport is stamped/your AOS application approved.

Hey, trying the lottery because your AOS has not been approved is like applying for a new birth certificate when your application for Driver's License takes too long-ie makes no sense.

Patience is the other name for things immigration in the US.Join the line.

By the way, I also got my actual card within 10 days of my stamp on passport so that seems to be the rule. The results of the medical exam are a part of the AOS so that could be the cause of the hold up.Please ask them whether theres something wrong with your medical results.

    Good luck!
