Thread: Domestic Air Travel When Out Of status

  1. #1
I have a friend who recently had a baby 2 months with a USC. She wants to take the baby to NYC to visit with grandparents. She doesnt have a Drivers License but she does have her British Passport with her photo in it.
Will she have a hard time flying?
I told her that she should be ok because she will only see TSA employees when she checks in and when she boards but she is still nervous. Does anyone have any experience of this? She posted on another site and they said she should get married and file her papers and fly with the notification but as she is taking the baby up in the holidays..this cant happen.
    Any thoughts?

Last time I checked - all she needs is a valid ID - I travel all the time and I am an out of status F1 student - but I use Drivers License. Her passport should be fine - but she might some paperwork (ID) for the baby.

Why is it every ILLEGAL starts a discussion with........"I have a friend" when in reality it is themselves they are asking for. Just goes to show how gutless and spineless ilegals are

    haha Paddy ..very very true.
    Why do They?
    Anywho..
No She is out of status ..please look at the subject matter and she doesnt have id for the baby ..just the hospital birth cert.

The birth certificate is ID - she will be fine - unless she goes thru the airport acting suspicious.....then who knows....but she need to bring the birth papers and her UK passport and she should be set - it is internal travel...

Thanks LPR. Obviously travel with an 11 week baby isnt easy and She is getting married to the father of her child.
As suspicious as a mom to a newborn can be...
    Thanks a lot

I just got back from the airport and the sign clearly say that you must have 1 form of federal US photo ID or have 2 forms of non-photo ID. I do not think it is safe for her to travel w/o a valid federal phota ID.

    Thanks anti.
Then I guess All the tourists will be taking the greyhound...
Actually I have another friend who went to Hawaii fromFlorida without any photo ID.She was moving to Hawaii and the movers had packed all her stuff including the photo ID. She had her kids with her...so I guess its all depending on whatever. Il pass on all the info.
