    Hi every body
I just got the stamp in my pasprt and removed the condition on my green card .
    I had filed I-751 form
Does any body have any experience these days about the time of getting the actual green card in mail.
I got the stamp on my paaport last week in Claifornia.

Yes, INS stamped my husband's passport and told him that his green card would take up to 6 months, that was in April 2001. He received the Green Card in May 2001. Our service center is one of the ones that is swamped and taking months to process things,it was quick. I hope this is encouraging for you.
In the mean time, the stamp in your passport is everybit as effective as a green card. You can work now with out an EAD and you can travel anywhere you like, just like a citizen. My husband went to New Zealand with no problem. Good luck to you and your dear spouse.

    Hi every body,
I arrived to new york 3 days ago on a DV-2002 lottery visa. I thought that a green card will be issued for me upon my arrival but nothing happened, they just put a stamp on my pass which says litterally: TEMPORARY EVIDENCE OF LAWFUL ADMISSION FOR PERMENANT RESIDENCE, EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZED
No one explained to me what to do to have my green card. Could you please help ?
    Thanx

    Hi Samir
I also am dv2002 winner. Your green card will be sent to you in the address you provide in the port of entry. I am not sure about the time will this take, but the stamp in your passport is equivalent to the plastic card for one year.
    Good luck.
