Thread: I got two letters from BCIS- I130. Need help

  1. #1
One stating i130 approval with need to request form i485 from service center and the 2nd one stating it's been forwarded to NVC and that NVC process all visa issuance that needs consulate process.

The issues is i am currently in the US and I have filed for change to v 1 and awaiting receipt notice. My prority date is Dec 10, my blood pressure is hitting the roof! What is going to happen based on this two different letters?

    Hi Nthpole,

    let's break this down:
    - your LPR spouse filed I-130 for you. When? What was indicated on it? Will you adjust in the US or go through the consular processing?

    - Your priority date is Dec 10. Which year? Is your priority date current or close to it?

I assume your moved since the petition was filed, and that caused some confusion. But it is definetly better to receive two approvals than none.

So, if you share some more details, someone may be able to help you.

That I will adjust status here.Priority date is Dec 10,2001.

i think the issue might be with my F1 status, and late/close application to change to V1, filed this same day F1 status was going to expire due to OPT and 60 days grace. I am awaiting a reciept of the V1 so I can submit i485, hope it will be considered that i am in status if i do that

Now I see the cheque sent for my V1 application as been cashed. Does that put me in status to adjust status here in the US ?
