Thread: has anyone been to a difficult interview?

  1. #1
my husband is trying to get his permanent GC. He was bona fide married before, but the wife turned out to be quite unstable. She ended up not showing up to their second interview even to tell them they were separated. naturally, he was denied. he and i were finally married a few months ago after his overdue divorce from his wife. so basically he had to reapply over again when he and i married. are they going to be scrutinizing our marriage b/c of his previous divorce? Will they be looking for even more documentation that we are for real? i'm still getting some financial support from my parents, so i'm worried they won't find us totally committed. will they ask us questions in the interview that normal people who have known each other for 5 years won't be able to answer? just want to know what to expect. has anyone else gone through anything similar? Thanks!

What second interview? What petition was denied? Did he come here as a fiance of his former wife? Are you a US citizen?
The above is simply an opinion. Your mileage may vary. For immigration issues, please consult an immigration attorney.
