    Guys !

Thanks God i found this forum...!

I would like to know what would be the process for us filling forms, interview, finger-prints...

    form 776 ...right away
    Interview... they call you

I am not too good on INS topic... their web page shows everything, i mean all the forms... but i did not see when to submit them ! im a MESS!

Here are all the forms you need:

    http://www.ins.gov/graphics/howdoi/LPRApplication.htm

You need to file all those at your local service center. That's one option. I think you can also mail them in. The instructions are ALL on the forms. I would suggest you print them out (get ready for a stack) and read over them very carefully and slowly. Take notes if you need to.

If you have any questions after that, holler back at us!

If all goes well, you get married, file everything, he will get his work permit, fingerprints, and the interview will be a few months down the line.

    Thank you Marie !

    You guys are awesome !

You did help me about the forms.. i already got those forms printed i got 33pgs !

But i did got some questions regarding them...

In mexico they use two last-names... one from the father and one from the mother...

should we use for him just the first one?

i dont want to change my last-name... how i keep it on?

How do i know if i do enough money to be his sponsor? (We live in GA) If i dont... what do we do?

And one more thing... after we fill ALL the applycations and take'em to INS (we rather not to mail them) they should call for the work permit, fingerprints and everything else...right?

I really apreciate your help Marie... i got so many questions and no-one to help us out.

    Your Friends,
    A&H

    For the forms:
Just follow the links and print those out.

For the affidavit of support: it's all in the application. You have to be able to support him at 125% of the poverty line. If you don't make enough, you can count his income when he starts working or you could get a co-sponsor.

When you file: do NOT include originals. Copy everything. Copies are FINE.

You will get a letter when you need to come in for the fingerprints and interview and work permit.

As far as his last name goes, I don't know, I guess you could consider it hyphonated and put them both. I really don't have a clue about that.

For your last name: is there a reason you don't want to change your name? This might not look good to an INS officer.

Maybe someone reading this forum has gone through an AOS and not changed their name.

    Hope that helps!
