gee....the business 'leaders' want an abundant supply of cheap labor and the religious leaders want more morons throwing cash into the collection plate.....what a surprise....neither of these groups apparently has an interest in respecting the laws of the very country in which they are enjoying a high standarad of living (thanks to cheap labor and morons throwing money into the collection plate!)...

The Pope said that nations have a right to control their borders and immigrants have a responsibility to obey the law and acculturate.

Someone12,I'm not sure if your comment is true. It is good to see local leaders in business and in the Catholic Church standing up for a more rational and humane approach to immigration reform. Your comment reflects the emotional discourse that currently influences our policy on immigration and I think it is important that community leaders set the example.

    America doesn't need immigration reform.

It is typical of the arrogance of illegal aliens and their apologists when they claim that America's immigration system is "broken!"

How would they know whether it is "broken" or not?

THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO IMMIGRATE LEGALLY.

Then, once they get here, MOST DON'T EVEN TRY TO LEARN ENGLISH OR TO SPEAK ENGLISH.

The only DREAM Act that we need is one where American students, in their own country, can display an American flag on their bicycle without - apparently - causing offense to non-Americans or Americans who don't self-identify as Americans.

another unpatriotic response from Terry, who no doubt is willing to sell out his American brethern for some billable hours....get a clue Terry....businesses want cheap labor and the Catholic Church wants more braindead dogma believers to toss their cash into the collection plate....neither of these groups gives a hoot about our laws/borders, etc, and you apparently, are in that same group. In this age of high unemployment, why do we need to legalize 12M dirtbags, which will just flood the labor market with 12M 'legalized' $4 an hour workers??? Why are you so hell-bent on selling out American citizens to visa cheats and border jumpers? tell you what...why don't you provide a RATIONAL, LOGICAL explanation as to why 12M lowlifes deserve some form of CIR, while those who are waiting their turn to immigrate from outside the US wonder why they don't violate our laws as well? Please tell us how 'deserving' this collection of 12M $hitbags are....people who don't respect our laws, have been draining resources from the American taxpayers for years, fill our schools with their illegal brats and bring disease across our borders....love to hear your 'rationale', assuming you even have the courage to post one (which I doubt).
